A dark ambient and spellbinding sonic journey, Krubera provides another foil to the lighter side of Somewherecold Records’ ambient artists. Krubera is the debut album from pœna sensus, a dark ambient project created by Jason Hayes.  Krubera is the second deepest cave in the world.  The journey begins with arrival and descent into the cave, going deeper and deeper into darkness, silence, and the unknown.  The sense of fear inherent in people manifests itself upon the cave navigator as s/he travels deeper into Krubera, where s/he eventually becomes lost.  Then comes the panic and realization that s/he will never get out and see daylight again.  Lastly, there is the acceptance of succumbing to Krubera.  The journey into the depths of Krubera is a journey into one’s own mind.

Bringing another dark ambient not unlike Ander and Anders Brorby, pœna sensus brings another fresh take on the genre and begins to add to the diversity in the album along with newly sign acts like Cementation Anxiety. pœna sensus: Krubera comes out on April 9th on limited digipak CD as well as digital.
