If someone were to ask me what ambient artists I would think would later be counted among the greats, one of my immediate replies would be Akkad the Orphic Priest. M. Cody McPhail is an amazing artist both live and in the studio. The Four are four new tracks that make for another incredible LP by this musician I am honored to have on the label. The Four is peaceful, glacial, and entrancing. There is movement, but that movement is patient, careful, and thoughtful. Layers are always perfectly matched and they appear as accents and blendings with what came before their appearance. I highly recommend you get anything you can from Akkad‘s incredible discography and I’m proud to say that his newest is on Somewherecold Records!
