SPC ECO is the project of the dynamic duo of Dean Garcia and Rose Berlin. Ever prolific, the duo have just released a new full-length today in digital format. Garcia has let fans know that vinyl and cd formats are forthcoming. The album begins with a track that slinks into the speakers called “Out of Sight.” Berlin sings as her vocals move above and below the mix, creating an almost claustrophobic feel. It’s a great opener to the track which follow. “All the Voices” and “Waking Up Again” have an ease to them with infectious, understated grooves. The middle section of the album gets even more laid back as the Calm sets in. Berlin hypnotizes while Garcia spins beats that are meditative. There is an almost ambient feel to some of the tracks like “Ghosts”, “When It Moves”, and “Hours”. All in all, this is a lush and gorgeous album. Garcia and Berlin prove once again to be masters at their craft and Calm is a wonderful edition to their discography as well as a great surprise given the album seems to come up online out of left-field.  Give it a listen and buy a digital copy today!
