Return of the Return is Giacomelli’s seventh release on Somewherecold records and the first to harken back to his roots as a noise-pop psych explorer. The music of Return of the Return was created to answer and the burning question of what it sounds like to combine cascading arpeggiations and ribbon synthesizers with noisy fuzzed out electric guitar overtones of anthemic and Maj7 varieties.

“I felt like it was time to rock. We had all been cooped up and I had been wanting to combine the synth things I learned on last couple of records with some old guitar ideas I had, and feel the energy of reconnecting with a band again.”

Recorded in Pacific Sound Studio in downtown Santa Cruz, Giacomelli’s Return of the Return is a burst of celebratory energy made possible by a rhythm section of fellow Gainesville expatriate Jason Hatfield on bass and Zen Perry (AQUA-RHYTHM, LAUREN WAHL) on drums.
