Somewherecold Records is incredibly proud to present drone-in-the-woods & Electro/Magnetic: Lymphae! The duo combine their talents to create a gorgeous soundscape with field recordings and powerful synth beats and tones. If you are an enthusiast of electronic music, this album needs to be on your list of must haves for 2021. If Somewherecold Records has its way, we will be working with the duo for a long time into the future.

drone-in-the-woods (Keith Sutton from UK) and Electro/Magnetic (Nicola Maggi from Italy) had a simple idea: choose one piece that was a work-in-progress and send the stems to the other one to let him rework that same track in his own way, whilst simultaneously finishing the track themselves.

The ensuing melting pot consists of lo-fi textures with hypnotic, dark atmospheres recorded to cassette tape and nature-inspired soundscapes featuring forest field recordings and arpeggios played on vintage analogue synthesizers.  The sharing of audio and techniques circulate between the pieces to provide a clear path for the listener to take.

The track titles are in the original language of the two authors and the album title Lymphae is Latin, the ancient language that ties together the history of our old continent and the story of this collaboration.
