For the last half year or so, John Lane (A Journey of Giraffes) and Jason T. Lamoreaux (The Corrupting Sea, The Warm Jets, Circumrotation) have been passing files between one another over the internet to create their first collaboration entitled Acropolis. This collaborative mixture sounds like both artists and yes does not. Their sonic alchemy produced an altogether new entity making for a perfect blend of Lane and Lamoreaux‘s visions. Moving in and out of blissful moments and tense cinematics, Owl Eyes is both familiar and yet somehow different, beautiful and somehow evocative. The album was mastered by Toby from Orange Crate Art. Thank you sir for your incredible work!
Owl Eyes: Acropolis is currently up for pre-order at the Somewherecold Records’ site and is limited to 50 copies (of course, if they go fast, we will reprint another run). The album comes out July 24, 2020.
