Mother Mariposa is the newest project of Thomas Mudrick (Boing, Nodding Tree Remedies) and Jsun Atoms (The Upsidedown, Daydream Machine, PIA). Two years in the making and joining forces with Dan Fernie-Harper (Ride Into the Sun, The Dunes), Austin Keys (Lola Buzzkill), and Trask Schulte (Paste), the duo have created a melding of electronica, psychedelia, and post-punk brilliance. An epic earworm, the band’s debut single “Passing Train Graffiti” emotes a pulsing, guitar hook laden hypnosis that will stick with you in all the right ways. Mother Mariposa will be playing their first live show Saturday November 3rd at The Odditorium with Pete International Airport and DJ Rescue. The video is a collage of mind-warping psychedelic visuals and throwback 70’s nostalgia. Give it a watch and go to the bandcamp to pick up the single at the link below the video. You can also purchase the single on iTunes and Amazon.
