RELEASE DAY! Resistance Compilation: In Support of the Southern Poverty Law Center (Somewherecold Records, 2018)

It’s June 22nd and that means the Somewherecold Records Compilation called Resistance in Support of the Southern Poverty Law Center is out! This is a digital only release  and it’s that way on purpose. This way, we can keep as much of the donations for the SPLC as possible without spending money for manufacturing. For those of you unfamiliar with the SPLC, here’s some information.

“The SPLC is dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society. Using litigation, education, and other forms of advocacy, the SPLC works toward the day when the ideals of equal justice and equal opportunity will be a reality.” They provide legal assistance to the oppressed, compile data on hate groups in the U.S.A., and education both law enforcement and the public on these groups. You can further look at their organization here:

The compilation includes some incredible artists who contributed original tracks to the album. These artists include Venn, BEATASTIC, highspire, Vlimmer, Orange Crate Art, Pia Fraus, Gustavo Javier Leyes, Tears Run Rings, The Beremy Jets, Xeresa, Nax, Blackpool Astronomy, and The Corrupting Sea. Lazy Legs also contributed a formerly released track. I want to thank all these artists for contributing amazing tracks to make this compilation something special.

Go to the Bandcamp link and pick up a copy. It’s a minimum of $1 and you can add as much money as you want to the comp in order to make a contribution to this great cause.
