Hello all! I thought I would send out an update on the Somewherecold Records current happenings!
UMMAGMA: LCD OUT NOW!
First, Ummagma‘s newest release LCD came out on CD on Somewherecold Records this last Friday, Sept. 22nd. It’s four tracks with remixes from Robin Guthrie and Dean Garcia. Don’t miss getting your copy! Click the link below on the Bandcamp stream and order yourself a copy of the CD.
Also up for order on the site is an artist we are very proud to be releasing. The pre-order for the Mis+ress self-titled album is live and the album comes on very limited Cassette and CD! Mis+ress is the solo project of Brian Wenckebach of Elika and Thee Koukouvaya fame! The album will be released on Oct. 13th. Get your pre-orders in before copies are gone!
THE BEREMY JETS: SCANDI SNEAKERS VIDEO
Somewherecold Records does have a youtube channel and we just uploaded the video for “Scandi Sneakers” from The Beremy Jets. The Beremy Jets is the work of Paul Saarnak who makes brilliant crafted shoegaze music. Yes, it is just him as a multi-instrumentalist and his talent really comes through on each track he composes. Give the Youtube video a watch and order a copy of the very limited cassette from the label (we are quite low on stock, so, if you want a copy, now is the time!).
THE CORRUPTING SEA INTERVIEW
Last week, Jason (me) was interviewed by Amber Crain over at When the Sun Hits blog. I answered questions about my Somewherecold Records’ project The Corrupting Sea as well as about the blog and label. Give it a read here:
THE CORRUPTING SEA/YELLOW6
Lastly, I would like to note all the other offerings we have from the label for your listening pleasure and, hopefully, purchase. We can’t survive as a label without the support of people who buy music.
The Corrupting Sea: Samatta on digital and limited edition CD
The Corrupting Sea: Resist on digital and limited edition Cassette
The Corrupting Sea: Symphony of a Radical on digital and limited edition CD
Yellow6: 13 Loops on digital and limited edition cassette (the cassettes are sold out)
Thanks to all of you who have supported the label with your hard earned money. I know that, at the end of the day, you don’t have to spend money on music or art in any way but choose to do so for the love of it. We, at Somewherecold Records, salute you!
