If you haven’t heard Venn yet, you absolutely 100% should. They are a rather newly birthed shoegaze band made up of Holden Cihelka, Gabe Earle, Jon Fetahaj, and Julian Earle. This band is the new Daysleepers. Yes, they are that good. Their S/T EP came out in February to rave reviews. The promise it holds for this young band is kind of astonishing. Ok, I’ve gushed too much about their EP. Let’s turn to what they just released. Venn has decided to release a cover of New Order‘s “Ceremony” and the cover is kind of amazing. Further, they released a self-shot and produced video for the song as well. It’s a lo-fi affair with wonderful VHS style images, perfect for the era of the song they are covering.
