Black Needle Noise is back for another track release with the mastermind behind the project, John Fryer, who has unleashed a goth-laden dreamscape complete with pensive percussion and ethereal drones with “And Nothing Remains”. Ana Breton of Dead Leaf Echo lends her gorgeous, otherworldly vocals to this piece. Once again, Fryer creates an underlying mood that really supports both the vocalist’s tone and words. Breton sings,
And now the skies are falling and you’re watching it all go down
And the cities burning and you’re watching it all go down
Inside the grand illusion, evolve to revolution, wake from the dream
And now the fates are calling, and there’s no returning…to Reality
Perhaps a sign of the times, perhaps interpersonal struggle, but what’s for sure in Breton‘s soaring vocals is that there is a warning and earnestness to her delivery and Fryer‘s beautifully written composition only seems to support that more. Take a listen and download it. You won’t be disappointed.
