Featured Track: The Beremy Jets – Six Degrees of Separation Anxiety

The Beremy Jets is the brainchild of Paul Saarnak who hails from Malmö, Sweden and is the drummer for LKWRM and Slowmotion Club. In 2016, he released his first E.P. entitled Alchemy Attack. “Six Degrees of Separation Anxiety” is the second track on the Backup Friend E.P. and is a return of The Beremy Jets that should be celebrated. It’s an aggressive track with walls of sound that swirl and undulate. The drum work is especially good as it creates an urgency during the larger wall of sound moments and peels back a bit when vocals come into the mix. Paul’s vocals are recessed into the mix and the bass word is also quite superb. I especially love how the track fades out and peels away the various layers. Given that Saarnak plays all the instruments, it’s an impressive piece. Overall, the EP is a must have. We at Somewherecold will have a full review of it soon. In the meantime, enjoy “Six Degrees of Separation Anxiety”.
