Black Needle Noise is the most recent project of John Fryer of 4AD and Mute Records fame. His work as a producer is storied and his music projects revered. A member of the influential band This Mortal Coil and of The Hope Blister, Fryer has shaped the musical terrain of many genres through the influence of his signature sound. With his project Black Needle Noise, he has been releasing tracks on a monthly basis leading up to the release of whole albums. On the most current, Mimi Page joins BNN on vocals. Page‘s vocals are ghostly and otherworldly as they float within the currents of the drones. Fryer takes a dreamy, drone drenched approach here with full, swelling guitars and thick, fuzzy tones. “Swiming Through Dreams” is the ninth track released since Before the Tears Came and looks to be a part of an incredible collection of songs for the forthcoming album.
