Sacramento’s Soft Science is back with a new single entitled “Undone” with a B-side cover of House of Love‘s “I Don’t Know Why I Love You”. Due out April 6th, the tracks are swirling delights with sugary, delectable vocals. “Undone” has this brilliant energy to it with shimmering guitars, perfectly executed bass and percussion, bendy synths, and Katie Haley delivering some of my fave dreampop vocals in recent memory. The single is from their forthcoming album Maps and, if this is a preview of the what the quality of the rest of the album, the quintet is going to wow. The House of Love cover is brilliant and faithful to the original with a light Soft Science touch. Originally released on a TBTCI House of Love tribute album entitled Soft as Fire in The House of Love and is presented here for wider distribution in a newly remastered form.
