FEATURED TRACK: The Age of Colored Lizards – Nothing to Say (Sotron Records, 2017)

The Age of Colored Lizards has been making a lot of noise in the first part of 2017. With the release of their first single “Pale White Sun” in February, the buzz around the band has been extremely positive.  In March, they released their first EP entitled Another Day which has wet the appetite of dreampop fans and has had them clamoring for more. Well, today, the Oslo-based band have released their newest single “Nothing to Say”. This is the first single from their much-anticipated forthcoming album and, again, the band leaves the listener wanting so much more. “Nothing to Say” takes the tight poppiness of previous tracks and spreads it out a bit, giving a more ethereal feel. Further, the vocals also seems a tad different, with a breathier air to them and deeper in the mix. These elements give the song all the beautifulness that a lo-fi recording can encompass. If this is any indication of what is to follow on the full-length, I am very excited to hear the rest!
