Our track of the week is from A Thousand Hours. It’s the first track for the band entitled “The Desolate Hour.” The band consists of Red Collier (vox, guitar), Demi Haynes (Seashine) (vox, bass), and Albert Gresens (guitar, bass). The band plays a slowcore style of shoegaze that is dreamy and ethereal. “The Desolate Hour” begins with picked guitar with a slight reverb and sparse drums. Collier’s breathy vocals echo over the slow-moving compositions. Haynes provides ghostlike “ahs” in the background. It’s a beautiful mix of Low and the dreamy elements of shoegaze. Check it out!
